Zia is the Chief Global Content Officer at Shoptalk where she’s in charge of developing the 100+ sessions on the agenda and recruiting 300+ senior-level speakers from innovative startups, established brands and retailers, venture capital firms, real estate developers and more.
She joined Shoptalk in 2015 after spending over seven years as a Research Director at Forrester where she oversaw the company’s digital store and omnichannel commerce research. She also led Forrester’s global e-commerce coverage with a focus on emerging markets like Brazil and China.
Zia holds a BA from Dartmouth College and an MALD from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
Mariano started his journey into eCommerce and CRM as a Mechanical Engineering graduate from the University of Rio de Janeiro. After spending time in the financial markets working at the brokerage firms of Senso and Banco Icatu, he founded VTEX alongside Geraldo Thomaz in the beginning of 2000. His main objective is to orient Sales and Marketing, Services, Operations and Outsourcing Directors.
VTEX was recognized by Gartner as one of the top eCommerce platforms in the market. Working in the eCommerce industry for the last 18 years, as VTEX’s co-CEO Mariano has personally been involved with large platform implementations for giants such as Walmart, Sony, Electrolux, and Motorola.
Angela came from Amazon in Seattle where she served as the Executor Director of International Expansion of their Fulfilment by Amazon business; GM of Amazon Global Selling marketplace business; and the Head of Prime Technology Platform that powers Amazon global Prime membership and Prime benefit offerings including Prime Videos and Prime Music. Prior to Amazon, Angela spent a decade in California Silicon Valley with Symantec and the Norton Anti-Virus brand in a number of leadership positions from IT-Business Director, eCommerce Director, and finishing as Sr. Director of Customer Retention, Worldwide eCommerce.
Angela Cearns was the Chief eCommerce Officer and General Manager for Pizza Hut Digital Ventures from 2018 to mid 2019, leading Pizza Hut International through the digital transformation journey from a traditional casual dining restaurant to a leader in online ordering and delivery.
Angela has a Master of Software Engineering degree from the University of Colorado and Advanced Project Management from Stanford University. She is currently a guest professor at the European Institute for e-Commerce Management at Churchill College, University of Cambridge.
Kati Suominen is an adjunct fellow with the CSIS Europe Program; founder and CEO of the data and research firm Nextrade Group, which helps multilateral development banks, governments, and Fortune 500s optimize public policies and investments in driving trade and e-commerce worldwide; founder of TradeUp Capital Fund, a platform for globalizing small to medium-sized enterprises; and founder of Business for eTrade Development, a global coalition of leading companies driving e-commerce development. She is the idea-woman behind such global initiatives as eTrade for All, a global multidonor initiative to accelerate the adoption of e-commerce worldwide; Alliance for eTrade Development, a public-private partnership among major digital companies and the U.S. Agency for International Development to fuel e-commerce development; and RTA Exchange, a new global forum on trade agreements sponsored by the Inter-American Development Bank and International Center for Trade and Sustainable Development. She has authored over 100 articles and written 9 books, and she is now working on her 10th, Making Trade Great Again: How Disruptive Technologies Open Opportunity for All (Stanford University Press, forthcoming 2018). She has provided commentary in the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, BBC, CSPAN, CNN, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Politico, USA Today, Time, Economist Intelligence Unit, and U.S. News and World Report. Dr. Suominen holds a B.A. from the University of Arkansas, an M.A. from Boston University, an M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, and a Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego. She is a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Ian Jindal is a consultant, publisher and advisor in eCommerce and multichannel retail. Ian cofounded and is Editor in Chief of InternetRetailing, providing insight and research for Europe’s etailers and multichannel retailers – www.internetretailing.net.
To underpin the analysis, Ian co-founded RetailX, researching performance in multichannel retail, brands and vendors. In 2015 he launched the UK Top500 ranking of retailers (IRUK) and in 2016 the first performance-based ranking of European’s retailers (IREU) – www.internetretailing.net/iruk and www.internetretailing.net/ireu.
Ian’s retail clients include Selfridges, House of Fraser, Marks & Spencer, John Lewis, Asda, Couturelab, Waitrose, De Bijenkorf, Kering, Disney, IKEA, Walgreens Boots Alliance and VF Corporation (Timberland, The North Face, Vans etc). Previously Ian was Group eCommerce Director at Littlewoods Shop Direct, and Head of Online Operations at the BBC. Brian McBride is Ex-Chairman ASOS.com, Former CEO of Amazon.co.uk, the leading on-line fashion retailer, and WiggleCRC, the on-line cycling retailer. He is also Senior Non Executive Director at AO.com, Senior Adviser to Lazard’s Global Financial Advisory business, Senior Adviser with Scottish Equity Partners.
He is a member of the UK Government’s Digital Advisory Board, which steers the digital delivery of Government services to citizens.
He was CEO of Amazon.co.uk from 2006 to 2011 having led it through its high growth period. He began his career with Xerox and subsequently worked in Senior roles at IBM, Dell Computers and as Managing Director of T-Mobile (UK).
He has been a Non Executive Director of Celtic Football Club PLC, SThree PLC, and Computacenter PLC and has served as a Non Executive Director on the Board of the BBC and the Advisory Board of Huawei UK.
